Vaartha Bhaarathi (ವಾ ಭಾರತಿ) is the fastest growing Kannada daily (ಕನ್ನಡ ದಿನಪತ್ರಿಕೆ) in the state of Karnataka, with a prominent presence in the coastal region. Vaartha Bhaarathi is also the highest read newspaper in the Persian Gulf States. The launch of its Bangalore edition is earmarked for August 2006.
History
Launched in 2003, this newspaper has successfully gained immense popularity and widespread acceptance in a very short span of time. The readership has covered the entire Coastal Karnataka from South Canara district to North Canara district and its neighboring districts such as Chickmagalur, Hassan, Madikeri and Shimoga. Today Vaartha Bhaarathi is able to reach every doorstep in the Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uthara Kannada and Kasargod districts apart from having readership in the neighbouring districts, Bangalore, Mumbai and in the gulf countires, especially in UAE., State of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Vaartha Bhaarathi has already set up its office in the capital of Karnataka, Bangalore and soon will start its Bangalore editon to cover Mysore, Mandya, Kolar, Chamarajpet, Chitradurga, Davangere districts.
