California congressional districts since 2003.

California's 12th congressional district is one of 53 California Congressional Districts. The current Representative for this district is Democrat Tom Lantos. The majority of San Francisco is located within California's 8th District, currently represented by House Minority Leader Nacy Pelosi.

The 12th district spans from south San Francisco down to San Mateo, and from Moss Beach at its west to parts of San Mateo on its east, where it is met with California's 14th. The 12th is comprised of portions of San Mateo and San Francisco counties.

Trivia

President Nixon was once its congressman.
