Rulon Jeffs

Rulon Jeffs (December 6, 1909 - September 8, 2002) (known to church members as Uncle Rulon) was the leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a religious group with strong belief in polygamy based out of Colorado City, Arizona. It was reported that at the time of his death at age 92, he had 75 wives and 65 children. [1] Shortly after his death, Rulon's son Warren Jeffs proclaimed himself the new prophet of the FLDS and married all but two of his father's wives, effectively making himself his own stepfather. [2] Warren Jeffs was captured and arrested on August 28, 2006, in Las Vegas. The younger Jeffs was on the FBI's most wanted list for several sex crimes when he was apprenhended. [3]
