Frances Drake (October 22, 1912 (some sources say 1908 - January 18, 2000) is an American actress from the 1930s who is best known for playing Eponine in Les Miserables (1935). Born in New York City, she was educated in Canada and Britain, and was appearing in London when she made her first film appearances under her birth name of Frances Dean. She also appeared in The Jewel, Bolero, The Trumpet Blows, Ladies Should Listen, Forsaking All Others, Mad Love, The Invisible Ray, And Sudden Death, Midnight Taxi, Love Under Fire, There's Always a Woman, It's a Wonderful World, I Take This Woman and The Affairs of Martha. She married a titled Englishman in 1939, and retired from the screen afterwards.
