The Dhulbahante is a Somali clan of the Harti , part of the Darod clan.

Dhulbahante members are found in their traditional territories in the northern regions of Sool, Sanaag, Cayn, Nugaal ,and the southern province of Jubbada hose and also the Somali Region of Ethiopia.

There are 20 Dhulbahante Garaads and One Chief Garaad There are also over 100 chiefs.

The Dhulbahante were the only tribe in the north of Somalia not to have signed an agreement with the British colonisers.[citation needed] They were the backbone of the first anti-colonial movement.[citation needed]
