Biography

Acquired

Goodspeed signed with the Blue Bombers as a free agent in July 2005.

2005

Goodspeed helped solidify the Bombers’ offensive line upon his arrival in Winnipeg. He played his first CFL game July 7 when Winnipeg hosted the Calgary Stampeders at Canad Inns Stadium. He went on to play 16 straight regular season games on an O-line that paved the way for the league’s leading rusher (Charles Roberts) and gave up the third fewest quarterback sacks (31) of any CFL club.

2004

On January 16, the Miami Dolphins signed Goodspeed as a free agent. He was later released by the Dolphins and signed with Washington Redskins. He played both tight end and tackle for Washington before being released by the ‘Skins.

2002

Goodspeed signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 4 but did not see any action with the Bucs. He remained with the team through its Super Bowl season.

2001

The New York Jets signed Goodspeed as a free agent and he saw action in one regular season with the Jets.

College

Goodspeed attended Walsh University for two years and was a starting tight end both seasons. He then transferred to Kent State University for another two years, where he was converted to tackle and was co-captain during his senior year.

Personal

Goodspeed lives with his wife Amy in Tampa, Florida in the off-season with their dog Zoe. In his spare time he likes to fish, jet-ski and lift weights. He and his wife are huge NASCAR fans and Goodspeed has a standing offer to work as a jack man in a pit crew. He was once named to the All-Nasty Team in the XFL but gives generously of his team to several groups in the community.
