Dictionary definitions at Matrix

The word etymology information you added to Matrix is certainly interesting, but unfortunately it does not belong on a disambiguation page. The disambiguation page links to Wiktionary, which would be a more appropriate place for the information. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions about disambiguation pages. -- Natalya 15:45, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Possible typos?

In reference to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plane_stress http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plane_strain

Are you sure "i.e the normal stress σ33 and the shear stresses σ12 and σ23 (if the thickness is the 3-direction)" shouldnt read "i.e the normal stress σ33 and the shear stresses σ13 and σ23 (if the thickness is the 3-direction)"?

Likewise, "i.e the normal strain ε33 and the shear strains ε12 and ε23 (if the length is the 3-direction)" -> "i.e the normal strain ε33 and the shear strains ε13 and ε23 (if the length is the 3-direction)"?
