The South Buffalo Railroad is a switching railroad between Buffalo and Lackawanna, New York. The railroad was chartered in 1899 and completed in 1902. The South Buffalo originally served its owner, Lackawanna Steel, which was acquired by Bethlehem Steel. The railroad was sold to Genesee and Wyoming Industries in 2002, following Bethlehem's bankruptcy. The Lackawanna plant was shut down in the 1980s.
