Bobby Boulders is NOT Willy on Wheels

Listen up, I be Bobby Boulders and I am NOT "Willy on Wheels." In fact, Willy on Wheels does not exist! He is a fictitious concept created by Cyde_Weys and other admins in order to keep prominent vandals from getting "too big for their britches," as it were. Any time a vandal -- such as myself -- becomes too well known or notorious, his LTA sub page is deleted, and admins announce they have "discovered" that he is really just a Willy sockpuppet. In this way, they hope to discount the vandal's glory, and discourage him from continued attention-seeking vandalism.

A lot of people do vandalism for the recognition. Having big profile pages of them complete with infoboxes only strengthens the conception that they're being recognized. We've found that the best way to deal with vandals is to just revert them and block them while otherwise ignoring them and denying them recognition. This has already been going on for awhile and it's been an utter success. Giving vandals their own biographies as sub-pages of "Long term abuse" is self-defeating. It encourages the vandal to continue, and other people will read those and get ideas and become copycat vandals. The best way to deal with vandals is utterly ignoring them, and our best tool has been denying them recognition by reclassifying all of them as this fictional concept of Willy on Wheels.

So there you have it, folks. "This fictional concept of Willy on Wheels." Cyde does not, and NEVER HAD, any "proof" that I am Willy.
