Please read Wikipedia:Cleanup process for instructions on maintaining this page. There may be more suitable pages for requests, see the resources for collaboration box on the right.

For articles that just need wikification, you should use the wikify template. See Category:Articles that need to be wikified for articles that need wikifying.

If an article needs further cleaning up, add cleanup to the top of the article. To see articles with this tag added, see Category:Cleanup

Some editors prefer that helpers work on leftovers and older articles, just to deal with them and get them out of the way. See the cleanup calendar for requests from previous months. But either preference, new or old; all help is appreciated. If you have a cleanup routine, add your name and your routine preferences (how often, old/new articles, what subjects, etc ) to the cleanup routine list.

 • Dario Di Martino - unwikfied text dump, written by a non-native English speaker. RickK 23:24, Nov 11, 2004 (UTC)
 • Selection (genetic algorithm) - needs a little work. Sarge Baldy 23:04, Nov 11, 2004 (UTC)
 • Oscar van Dillen - to conform to wiki-bio style and some de-wikifying (in fact its generally quite confusing) -- Solipsist 17:57, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)
 • Auckland University Students Association - two lines on the AUSA, then the rest of the article is on other student associations in New Zealand. Either it needs to be on the AUSA alone (with other articles for other associations) or it should be renamed University students associations of New Zealand or similar Grutness 12:14, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)

 • Saint Methodius - contains a text dump from some apparently free encyclopedia that should be integrated into current stub. --Whosyourjudas (talk) 03:37, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)

 • Lisa Cheung - new page, I redirected it from Lisa cheung, but it seems awfully incomplete. Reads like vanity. Does anyone know her? Mgm|(talk) 21:07, Nov 10, 2004 (UTC)
 • Didn't find anything about a notable teacher, so I changed to an artist that gets plenty of hits. Still a micro-stub, as I need to get to the bank. Niteowlneils

 • Medha Hari - a Indian Bharatanatyam ballet dancer, seems notable, but the language is poor and it reads like an advert. -- Netoholic @ 04:39, 2004 Nov 10 (UTC)
 • Paul Harris - unwikified text dump, but probably too rambling to be copyvio. He apparently is a musician of some not (try searching "Paul Harris" magic), but much seems hard to verify, movie claim runs counter to IMDb (diff Paul Harris) Niteowlneils
 • I think you meant magician instead of musician. Anyway, I'll give a look and see if there's something salvagable in there. couldn't hurt my WikiProject Magic either :) Mgm|(talk) 09:56, Nov 10, 2004 (UTC)

 • Echeveria - taxobox covers text and isn't aligned to the right. Can't find what's wrong, coding seems similar to box on Horse. If it's fixed, can someone leave an interesting factoid from the article at Template talk:Did you know? Mgm|(talk) 21:51, Nov 9, 2004 (UTC)
 • The coding is probably fine, it's just that there's no contraint on the width of the taxobox, as far as I can tell. Since this box has some REALLY long text in it, it takes up the entire article width. As a stop-gap measure, I placed the taxobox inside another table with a given width. Can anyone think of a better solution? - RedWordSmith
The only other solution I can think of (done in the article) would be to put linebreaks in the long entries, but that's arguably just a hack that requires more work. Could/Should Template:Taxobox_begin set the width, preferably from a passed parameter? Or have a Template:Taxobox_begin_width_30_percent for these cases? Niteowlneils 02:14, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Why not add a pic as well? I've done some more wikification, and I bolded title in lead. Mgm|(talk) 21:59, Nov 9, 2004 (UTC)
 • The anon that created the article cut a whole bunch of text and removed the cleanup notice. I wikied a word, but with so little content left, I'm not sure what to do. - RedWordSmith
This same anon re-added the information back again. The article needs cleanup...again, because he deleted what little wikification was there. I'd clean the article up myself, but I have no idea who John Morrison is, and the article in its present form doesn't really explain much (there are too many terms a reader is supposed to be familiar with, which I do not know). • I have reverted the article to how it was before the "Homosocialism" nonsense was added by the same anon who created nonsense article Homosocialism, now on VfD. Homosocial doesn't IMO need any further cleaning, it is now a respectable stub. The page was pointed to from the 3 full pages that describe each of the 3 devices. OK, OK, delete page Aps protei ida71: I have now bypassed it and linked those 3 pages directly to the image, now that I know about putting a colon before "Image:" to point to an image instead of embedding it.Anthony Appleyard 10:43, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)

The Wiki Syntax Project needs your help

I've just added some new lists of malformed wiki syntax to the newly created Wiki Syntax Project. This includes malformed wiki square brackets (not closed or opened properly), malformed ordinary brackets (not actually a wiki syntax, just grammatically wrong), malformed headings, malformed bold or italics quotes (usually that haven't been closed at the end of the line), and malformed curly-brace constructs. There are simply far too many items for just one person to do - so I am posting to Cleanup asking for help. For each item there is a link to the article that has the problem, a description of the problem (the type of unclosed or unopened syntax), and the beginning of the line that has the problem (so all the problems should hopefully be easy to locate). This second and more complete run follows on from a very successful first run (in which 68 people fixed 1500 brackets in around 4 days). This new second run is larger, as it includes checks for more problems, plus it's for the whole English Wikipedia (the previous run covered half of the Wikipedia, and focussed mostly on square brackets). -- Nickj 03:52, 6 Nov 2004 (UTC) - Off topic, should it be moved to WP:VP, e.g.?
