Neanderkirche: How would you reference that the official website IS of Düsseldorf-Mitte? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:38, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- I don't know. How do you know the claim to be true? The Rambling Man (talk) 21:01, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
Wow indeed
Welcome to the NFL side of Wikipedia, where things like this are so common they're the norm, not the exception. We have precious few editors making efforts to fix them because, frankly, there are much larger issues on NFL-related pages. I try to fix them when I see them but occasionally I just ignore them, because it's so rampant. Lizard (talk) 20:50, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
TFL notification
Hi, TRM. I'm just posting to let you know that Templeton Prize – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for February 10. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 22:17, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, I just saw that, thanks. The Rambling Man (talk) 22:20, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
That will be the key topic if ever you go for resysoping. When you become one with yourself, the community, and the universe, you will be ready once again. In the meantime, don't be tempted by the Dark Side. :) The Transhumanist 23:41, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
Hello, The Rambling Man. I was hoping if you would have a looks at this list, which is nominated for FLC here. Do let me know by pinging me. Thanks. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid

Dashes
Hi, I add lots of content to articles. Most of the time the dashes in my additions are corrected by someone. I do not like to create work for others. Can you explain to me which dashes should be used when? Thank you in advance, Dwergenpaartje (talk) 11:29, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- I use MOS:DASH to tell me what to do. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:30, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

More table goodness
Hey there TRM, when you have spare time do you think you can lend a hand with your MOS knowledge? TropicalAnalystwx13 and I have been putting around the idea of changing up WP:Severe's infamous tornado tables again. We're trying to think of a way of including more of the numerical statistics into it, but with the text summary we can't do so in a single line. I've come up with a rough draft of what we'd like it to look like but it definitely is not MOS compliant and can't sort properly. Is there a way to force-attach the second row to move with the first row when the sorting function is used? If we're able to do this, in-line citations can be applied more effectively and sources for the numerical statistics are more readily apparent. If this rejiggering causes it to fail WP:ACCESS, would there be an alternative way of designing these tables to include the additional stats while keeping a text summary? Many thanks in advance! ~ Cyclonebiskit (chat) 00:23, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for all the help
Without your help and suggestions, my FLN would have not passed. Thank you Rambling Man. Much grateful. Lourdes 15:35, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- You're very welcome. I look forward to seeing you around FLC more often. All the best. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:03, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
Trumptastic
It's not TRUMP I'm that worried about, it's the 62,979,879 Trumpadors who voted for him that bother me! The Rambling Man (talk) 19:54, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
Regarding your comments at DYK
Re: [1] In absolutely no way do I want to you banned, but I will see you banned if you can't learn to interact like a normal human being re-learn how to interact respectfully and civilly with other editors.. That's why I continually remind you of your arbitration case. You may not see your comments and belittling, but plenty of others do, and your behavior helps poison the environment in which we all work. (For example, what in the world are you trying to insinuate with "it maybe fulfils something in your life you have absent right now"? Really? Why drop that in as an aside?)
We need to have a welcoming environment for others. Doesn't do much good if you're the only one actively improving Wikipedia. So please, tone down your rhetoric.
PS: Three people have separately talked with me since your arb case with memories of how you were a great editor a few years ago—kind, helpful, always improving things. All three have followed that with some version of "I don't know what changed." FFS man. Dial it back. Give us the old TRM, not this jaded shade. Failing that, you will be banned; it's just a matter of time.
Cheers. Feel free to reply, but I won't be. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 22:11, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

- The ed17, starting a post by claiming that I don't interact like "like a normal human being" is beyond offensive. You are a disgrace, an abhorrence to the role of an admin, let alone as an normal person. What on earth do you think you gain by telling me I'm not able to interact "like a human being"? Do you want me to take this to Arbcom as yet another example of your disgraceful record as a so-called "admin"? You clearly have some personal issues that need resolving. Stop abusing your position time after time after time after time. If you want to take this further, take it to Arbcom. I'd be delighted to let them know about your abuses of your position. Give me the chance, we'll see you and raise you. The Rambling Man (talk) 22:17, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- By the way, you've got one chance to redact that bullshit "like a normal human being" or else it's ANI for the both of us. You choose. The Rambling Man (talk) 22:20, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- I would have had I been given a chance (less than twenty minutes?). I'll leave it now so it doesn't look like I'm trying to cover anything up, but you should feel free to redact if you want. Do note that I wasn't intending to insult you in any way, as I think the overall context of the post shows, but you have my sincere apologies in any case. It was ill-chosen phrasing. I trust that you will still see the overall thrust of my post. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 22:41, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- Actually, I've just used <tt><s></tt> to redact and rewrite without removing the original comments. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 22:46, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- No, I see it as typical of you and your apologists, finding any excuse to smash me up, and yet most of them do it face-to-face. People like EEng and others I can work with because they just tell me I'm boring as fuck, and we fight fairly and squarely, and often, like angry puppies, and usually it doesn't descend to proper personal attacks e.g. that I'm not like a "normal human being". You're so far out of line I'm astonished and disgusted. Piss off and leave me alone forever. The Rambling Man (talk) 22:47, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- Again, TRM, it was ill-chosen phrasing that I apologize for. You can see what I meant above. I don't go about and make gross personal attacks at random, and I genuinely did not intend to send one with those words. We've had plenty of run-ins, but nothing you do or say would ever cause me to say those words in the way you took them. I'm leaving this discussion now at your request, but I would ask that you leave my comments and redaction/revision above for people coming from ANI. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 22:52, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- You're a poor admin Ed, you've abused your position several times, and your choice of phrase in this instance was appalling. It wasn't about how I took your comments, it was squarely about what you said. Your choice of phrase was despicable and you should be sanctioned for it. The Rambling Man (talk) 22:55, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
