It is what it says, a list of "Shit happens" jokes. Seems very unencyclopedic. (where is the List of "Yo Mamma" jokes?) Wyllium 19:24, 2004 Nov 16 (UTC)

• I've got a poster that has something of an abbrieviated version of this... amusing, but far from notable/encyclopedic. Delete or promote to BJODL Arcuras 20:35, Nov 16, 2004 (UTC)
• Keep, as useful as other lists (e.g. two cows). And in answer to Wyllium, see Your mom. ;) Meelar (talk) 20:51, Nov 16, 2004 (UTC)
• Good grief. I'm going to nominate that one later. Wyllium 21:09, 2004 Nov 16 (UTC)

• Keep. A well-known series of jokes, on par with our list of "You have two cows" jokes. I see no reason to keep one and reject the other. 力伟| 23:24, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• On second thought, I'll abstain until a final decision is made about the fate of the two cows article. It looks like the vote is going to be to keep it, but if it is moved instead then this article should be moved as well for consistency's sake. 力伟| 23:56, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• Delete but move to Wikibooks, on the grounds that it constitutes original research. I believe many if not most of the contributions are made up by the contributors, or are not capable of being cited to an authority. If that's not true, somebody please prove me wrong. Wikipedia is a secondary source. COGDEN 23:31, Nov 16, 2004 (UTC)
• Keep, or move to wikisource or wikibooks. siroχo 00:01, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)
• Whatever happens to the two cows jokes should happen to this as well. -Sean Curtin 01:23, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)
• The poster of which I spoke about in my vote for deletion : Religious Views on Life Poster. Many of the "one-liners" in the poster are reproduced verbatim. The original article said "Shit happens is the motto for a series of satirical jokes religious and philosophical definitions, circulating on the Internet". I'm guessing someone began the chain letter with this poster as inspiration. My copy of the poster has a copywrite lisiting on the bottom, but is not entirely legible to whom (I ripped the corner =/)... so not only is the article unencyclopedic, it's also a possible copyvio, alibet an unknowing one. • keep until the fate of all joke lists will be decided. Mikkalai 08:17, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• Keepkeep! I think its a nice item on our brilliant collection of Internet culture. The tourist guy is another good example. Besides as stated above, there are other lists of jokes. I'm also heavily biased on this because i actually created the initial article. muriel@pt 09:07, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• If final decision is delete (pleaseno pleaseno) move to wikibooks. muriel@pt 09:08, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• I'd like to see this stay in some form or another, be it here or at Wikibooks. --Sparky the Seventh Chaos 13:37, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)
• delete never going to be nearly complete; not verifiable (how do you tell a made up joke from a real one) has a place on BJAODN. Mozzerati 20:29, 2004 Nov 17 (UTC)
• Very funny joke you've just produced:
Q. how do you tell a real joke from a made up one?
A. At least 2 persons and one wikipedian are offended. <or make a better answer> Mikkalai 20:39, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
A. the real joker was non-notable so has to be deleted.
A. the real one doesn't need a similey :-)
A. the made up one has a troll to defend it to the death Mozzerati 19:57, 2004 Nov 18 (UTC)
• Only trivial articles in wikipedia look like complete. Any good topic evolves forever. Mikkalai 20:39, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• Amen to that. That is what wikipedia is all about. Complete articles??? I would like to see one. muriel@pt 09:53, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)

• Keep. Cut some slack for humourous articles. =) (Wikipedianism — move this shit to VfD!) --Andylkl 08:20, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. Were this actually humorous, I might consider cutting it some slack. But it seems both unfunny and a copyvio: do a Google search for "shit happens" for evidence that this is a much-copied list. -- The Anome 08:28, Nov 20, 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. Unencyclopedic, and also a copyvio (see [1]). ~leifHELO 23:34, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• I doubt the copyvio argument is applicable to this stuff. Not to say that each joke is subject to copyright separately. If an author claims copyright to a particular joke, we shall gladly remove it (or indicate autorship, at author's will). Mikkalai 01:38, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• I think they can claim it altogether; the form and ordering are close enough. I added a copyvio tag. Comment more on the copyvio page. Alternatively, just put the jokes that are new into the rewrite page. Mozzerati 22:14, 2004 Nov 21 (UTC)
• The link you listed in the copyvio tag is nowhere close to the content of the article. Mikkalai 01:22, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

• link: Agnosticism - What is this shit? artcle: Agnosticism: You can't prove any of this shit happens. Different
• Mikkalai, did you look through the link? The link and article's contents that they share are largely identicle, as I just proved. Further, it would be nearly impossible to rewrite them to avoid the copyvio without removing the "humor" of the sayings. I own the poster in the link provided. There is a copyright notice on the bottom of it, tho partially torn off (see my comment above). Granted, the article expands on the poster, but would that content be the type of thing people would look through an encyclopedia for? I'd say that would be highly unlikely. Arcuras 01:51, Nov 22, 2004 (UTC)
• Are you saying that "Zen - What is the sound of shit happening?" is your invention? The very fact that your poster says "confucius says" instead of "confucius say" shows that the authour of the poster you doesn't know the sense of the joke. Mikkalai 03:29, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• Keep - stuff like that makes Wikipedia fun. Grue 20:19, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC)
