Hesus Resurreccion is afraid of many things, but the things he fears most are ghosts. With his relatives maltreating him and his officemates playing pranks on him, Hesus feels like a loser.

Good fortune seems to be smiling on him when he inherits a mansion worth millions of pesos. The only problem is he can’t sell the house because people believe that it is haunted.

Hesus is more than determined to sell the mansion. But one night, he slips and falls into a well. Upon coming out, Hesus is surprised to see many people in the mansion. He freaks out when he learns that they are ghosts. But what really shocks him is when he learns that he is also a spirit...only that his body is in a coma.

The ghosts try to convince Hesus to return to his body and open the portal. When Hesus refuses to help them, the ghosts strike a deal with him: if he opens the portal, he will be able to sell the “ghostless” mansion. Hesus agrees to the deal.

As he spends more time with the ghosts, Hesus realizes that they are not that frightening after all. Padre Florentino is a Spanish friar whose head keeps falling off. Nicole is a rich madame from the American era who still think that she and her two kids are alive. Angelita, a 1980’s soap opera star, has a hard time keeping her eyeballs from rolling out. Xavier, a 1970’s hippie, is madly in love with Titay, an uptight Katipunera. The list of ghosts goes on and on. Soon enough, Hesus starts enjoying the company of the ghosts.

All these don’t sit well with Gorio, the ghost of a 1950’s gangster. He wants to delay the opening of the portal until his Precious comes along, and nothing can stop him from pursuing his evil plans.

The ghosts’ only problem now is they need a physical body to get Hesus’ body from the hospital. If they don’t find a way to open the portal in time, they will lose their happy memories and they will be cursed to remain cockroaches forever.

D’ Anothers elevates the horror-comedy genre to a higher level. This is one movie that will scare you out of your wits, tickle your funny bones and touch your heart.

Don't Give Up On Us

It is Star Cinema's new year offering featuring famous stars Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual. It will be released on 08 January 2006.

PLOT: Ever-the-control-freak Abby (Judy Ann Santos) believes she is on top of things as she heads the preparation for the wedding of her younger brother Samuel to her best friend Sabina. But when Sabina suddenly walks out of her own despedida de soltera headed to God-knows-where, the wedding frenzy takes a sour turn.

Armed with the cassette tape (with the name of the song, singer, and recording venue on its label) she got from Sabina’s left-behind bag as her only lead, Abby vows to find Sabina and bring her back to Manila in time for the wedding.

Abby’s search takes her to Baguio. There she meets Vince (Piolo Pascual), a folk singer in a local pub whose voice Abby heard in Sabina’s tape. Vince admits it’s his voice but claims not to know Sabina. He remembers the cassette tape, though – he recorded the song for his good friend Matt who was supposed to give it to his loved one. Abby persuades Vince to bring her to his friend Matt in the hope of finding Sabina.

As Abby and Vince travel through the mountains of La Trinidad, Banaue, and Sagada, they inevitably get to know each other better. Abby, being the cosmopolitan Manileña, assesses Vince as not really having any big aspirations in life but, nonetheless, tries to convince him to try his luck in the city as a singer. Vince, used to the laid-back pace of provincial life, advises Abby she could use some time to “stop and smell the flowers” so as to relieve herself of pent-up stress brought about by city lifestyle. By the time they find Matt and Sabina, Abby and Vince have come to affect each other both mentally and emotionally.

As they return to their respective lives, Abby and Vince are both convinced to give the other person’s “advice” a try, albeit separately: Vince returns to the city and makes a successful career as a singer, while Abby quits her high-paying job in Manila to try out farming life in Benguet.

By some coincidence, their paths cross for the second time in their lives. This time, they are ready to answer the very question they posed to each other the first time they met: When you meet that one person you are meant to be with, would you be willing to give up everything you have just to be with him/her?

The third Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual film had grossed more than 120M in its entire run nationwide.

Ever since Lance and his family migrated to migrated abroad ten years ago, Marian never had the chance to establish contact with him again. The only thing that Marian knows is that Lance has become the lead singer of the new rock band, Orion.

Good fortune smiles on Marian when Orion decides to tour the Philippines. Marian is intent on seeing Lance again, and she brings Manuel with her on a chase that brings them around the Philippines and abroad. Manuel believes that the whole chase is futile because a popular star like Lance will not remember a simple girl like Marian, but Marian does not believe him.

When Lance and Marian finally meet again, sparks fly between them. Manuel now has to decide - Will he let his best friend be happy with her Prince Charming, or will he fight for the love that has kept him alive for the last 16 years?
