Eastern Michigan University is located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In the past, EMU was noted for its large Education (Teachers) program.

- It has one of the largest libraries of children's literature in the U.S.A. - The serial killer John Norman Collins was a student at EMU in the late 1960s and a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. - Legendary cartoonist Winsor McCay attended business classes at EMU when it was called the Michigan State Normal College.
