"Ohio Is for Lovers"
Song

"Ohio Is For Lovers" is the first single released by the emo band Hawthorne Heights from their debut album The Silence in Black and White. It has become a signature song for the band as evidenced by the song title's presence on T-shirts and other band merchandise. Its chorus contains the words 'Cut my wrists and black my eyes'. These words are only meant metaphorically, not literally as many people a lead to believe.

The song is about rifts forming between the band's members and their girlfriends, due to long periods spent away from each other. The title refers to the fact that all of the band members' girlfriends live in Ohio.
