Terry Scott (May 4, 1927 - July 26, 1994) was an actor and comedian who appeared in 7 Carry On films. Scott also appeared in BBC One's popular domestic sitcom Terry and June with June Whitfield. As a regular comedy performer, he went onto become one of Britain's top stars.

Scott was born in Watford.

Pre-fame, Terry studied accounting and served in the Navy during World War II.

Terry became well known to television audiences for his role alongside Hugh Lloyd in Hugh and I during the early 1960s.

Scott is best known for starring in several series of the comedy Happy Ever After and its successor, Terry and June. Due to the popularity of the sitcom, many people believed Terry was actually married to co-star June Whitfield. The pair also starred together in the movie version of Bless This House.

Scott later appeared with Lloyd as gnomes in the 1969 sitcom The Gnomes of Dulwich.

Between 1968 and 1972, Terry appeared regularly in the Carry On series of movies. Scott said he stopped because he was busy with other projects.

In the 1980s, Terry is fondly remembered as the voice of Penfold the hamster in the cult animated series DangerMouse.

Scott's novelty record My Brother received regular airplay on BBC radio for many years.

Terry suffered from ill-health for many years. In 1979, Scott had a life saving operation after a hemorrhage. Terry also suffered from creeping paralysis and had to wear a neck brace, even on television. When his hit sitcom Terry and June was axed in 1988, he suffered a nervous breakdown. The attack was in part was brought on by his public confession that he had a series of affairs during his marriage to former dancer Maggie Pollen, who he married in 1957. It was later revealed that Scott was also suffering from cancer.

Terry died in Surrey.
