History

Whitley was once home to the Whitley Zoo, which was a popular visitor attraction where visitors could enjoy feeding the animals as well as have donkey rides. There was a huge fibreglass zulu at the zoo's entrance.

Whitley Zoo was demolished in the 1970s. The Warwickshire Racquet and Health Club (formally known as Esporta) currently occupies the site.
