God's Son is the sixth studio album from East Coast hip hop artist Nas, released in late 2002. The album contains the singles "Made You Look","Get Down" and "I Can", a track dedicated to "young people" that features an interpolation of Beethoven's Für Elise. God's Son was declared "the best hip-hop album of the year" by Time magazine. The album was dedicated to the memory of Nas' mother, Ann Jones, who died of cancer in early 2002 and is the subject of the song "Dance," in which he pronounces his wish to have "just one more dance" with her.
