Georgia and Florida RailNet is one of several short line railroad companies owned by North American RailNet, Inc. It runs the following lines:
- Albany, Georgia to Sylvester, Georgia
- Albany, Georgia to Sparks, Georgia with a bypass around Moultrie, Georgia
- Albany, Georgia to Thomasville, Georgia
- Adel, Georgia to Perry, Florida?
- Withlacoochee, Georgia to Valdosta, Georgia
History
The line north from Pensacola, Florida to Kimbrough, Alabama was owned by Burlington Northern Santa Fe, and was sold to the Alabama and Gulf Coast Railway in late 1997, with operations beginning September 22, 1997. At the same time, the AGCR acquired trackage rights over an unknown BNSF line.
BNSF now has trackage rights over the AGCR south to Kimbrough.
