Rhodri Morgan (born September 29, 1939) is a Welsh politician and the first and current First Minister of the Welsh Assembly. He was born in Cardiff. In the 1997 General Election, he stood for the Labour Party in Cardiff West. He became First Minister on October 16, 2000.
