Mitsuhoney (ミツハニー, Mitsuhanī) is one of the Template:Pokenum fictional species of Pokémon from the Pokémon franchise - a series of video games, anime, manga, collectible trading cards and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri.

Its name may derive from 三つ (mitsu, three), referring to the number of its honeycomb-like features, or from 蜜 (mitsu, honey). ハニー (hanī) comes from the English word honey.

Appearance

Mitsuhoney's appearance is based on a honeycomb and a honeybee merged together. Currently only female Mitsuhoney can evolve, much like how only female bees can become queens. The appearance of Mitsuhoney is that of three yellow hexagons connected to each other in a formation similar to that of a Magneton, only upside-down. Each hexagon has a face with two little black eyes and a tiny mouth. The two top hexagons each have one antenna and one wing, while the bottom hexagon has two little feet and a small tail. The lower face of a female bears a red triangle on the forehead and a smiling expression, indicating that it will evolve into a Beequeen.

In the games

Mitsuhoney has a unique ability, Honey Collect, that allows it to find Sweet Honey after battle. Sweet Honey is an item that can be placed in trees; the day after the tree will be shaking and have a wild Pokémon in it that you can battle. This is the only way to obtain Mitsuhoney beside breeding.
