Ian Gilmour, Baron Gilmour of Craigmillar, PC, was a Conservative politician in the United Kingdom. He served in Prime Minister Ted Heath's cabinet as Secretary of State for Defence and under Margaret Thatcher as Lord Privy Seal (starting in 1979). He did not have good relations with the latter, and was sacked in 1981. He did not participate in British politics again until he was given a life peerage and was elected to the House of Lords in 1992.
