William Alexander (American football)
William Alexander was the third head football coach at Georgia Tech. Alexander succeeded John Heisman as the head coach in 1920. He led Georgia Tech to its second national championship in 1928. In 1944 he retired and was succeeded by one of his assistants, Bobby Dodd.
