Alpha-Plus

Alpha Plus is the second highest level of caste in Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley. The supposedly utopian, civilized world is divided up into different castes, with Alpha Double Plus citizens performing the most mentally difficult tasks, and Epsilon Minus Semi-Morons performing the least. The alpha plus characters in the novel include Bernard Marx, Helmholtz Watson, and Henry Foster. Their function within society is to carry out some of the most intellectual tasks required, generally management of large industries and institutions such as the Bureau of Propaganda.
