Bocote ( Cordia alliodora) is a flowering tropical tree of the genus Cordia of the family Boraginaceae, and it can reach 120 feet in height.

Uses
Wood, including boat decking, furniture, cabinetry and guitar/bass building luthiers. Sometimes substitutes for mahogany or teak.

Common names
Also known as "Spanish elm" or "freijo".
