Thanks Snaffy. I appreciate it. I am totally new to this remarkable site, but I wanted to leap right in. So I spent hours reading FAQs and was pretty well burnt when I added what I did. Rereading what I wrote at 1am seems a bit garbled, so I will edit, add stuffs when I can, put in citations, and add links. Blows my mind...

Tell me something, how do you make this '|' mark using the keyboard. I have no idea where that little symbol resides so I've been cutting and pasting.

Also is this the correct way to respond to a message such as yours, by editing the page?

Finally, I am always glad to meet a fellow obsessive regarding AB (Artifical Being). 40 years and running I've been working on the issue and am, as far as my patent attorney can tell, the only person to have a patent application on a conscious machine. The only trouble is how can one ethically own a mind?
