Arms of the former Hornchurch Urban District Council (1926 - 1965)

Hornchurch is a place in London, England in the London Borough of Havering. It probably gets its name from Saint Andrew`s church, near the town centre, which has a metal horned bull over the entrance.

During World War II Hornchurch Airfield was an important RAF airbase, home to a number of Spitfire squadrons.

Today it is a large sprawling suburb of London, overlooking the River Thames.

The famous drum and bass label Ram Records is based in Hornchurch.
