European Russia can be considered the Eastern areas of Russia, where most of the population is centred.

Being the big country it is, Russia's majority of land is based in Siberia, which is a part of Asia, althought the majority of population lies in Eastern Russia. These areas include Moscow and St. Petersburg, the two most well known areas of Russia.
