Monty Colvin

Monty Colvin is a rock bassist, guitarist, and vocalist born and raised in Missouri. He moved to Houston, Texas in the late 1980s to work with producer Sam Taylor in the progressive metal band The Awful Truth. Following the breakup of that band, he helped Taylor form the band Galactic Cowboys, who recorded 7 studio albums on DGC Records and Metal Blade Records in the 1990s. After moving back to Missouri, he embarked on a solo career in 2000 with his band project Crunchy. Monty lists his influnces as The Beatles, Metallica, Wildhearts, Cheap Trick, and the Ramones (he is actually a cousin of Dee Dee Ramone).
