Doggy style

The doggy position (also known in Latin as coitus more ferarum, "sex in the manner of a beast") is a popular sex position. In the doggy position,

  • the woman crouches on all fours, spreading her legs slightly
  • the man crouches over her, and penetrates her vagina with his penis from behind.

Features of the doggy position:

  • penetration is quite deep

Disadvantages of the doggy position:

  • no eye contact
  • achieving alignment between penis and vagina takes practice

Some people feel this is very primitive and animalistic; because of this some people feel this position is demeaning.
