Innsbruck (population 120,000) is a city in southwest Austria, and the capital of the Tyrol province. Located on the Inn River, it is a famous wintersports centre.

The Olympic Winter Games were held in Innsbruck twice. In 1964, and in 1976, when the city replaced Denver as the venue.
