Indranee Rajah is a Singaporean Member of Parlimaent, representing Tanjong Pagar Group Representation Constituency. She is a lawyer, having graduated from the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore in 1986.

Lawyer

In May 2001, Indranee became a director of Drew & Napier LLC, a designation which she currently holds. She is a litigator and has an active court practice as advocate and a solicitor. She specialises in Cross-Border Dispute Resolution. Her other areas of practice include Property Litigation, Employment & Labour disputes, Company Law and general Commercial Litigation. She was appointed Senior Counsel by the Chief Justice of Singapore in January 2003.

Member of Parliament

Indranee's stated reason for her entering politics was to give something back to society and Singapore. She is focusing on employment issues and financial assistance. In a time where many people have lost their jobs and are facing financial difficulties, these are areas which are of relevance and concern to residents and constituents.

Personal life

Outside of work, she reads and cooks. She also tries as far as possible to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to balance work with exercise. Her exercise regime includes jogging and Latin American dance. She is single, close to her family (her mother & brother) and ensures that she spends time with them despite a heavy work schedule.
