Olde English is a Sketch comedy group that began at Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. Like the Upright Citizens Brigade and the Kids in the Hall before them, Olde English advances the trend of original, often surreal sketch comedy.

How they formed: While traveling through Europe in the summer of 2002, group member Ben Popik decided that he wanted to start a comedy group. He chose the name [after his favorite malt liquor at the time], and began writing sketches. When he arrived back at Bard College, he put up flyers and held auditions. They have now been together for two years.

Their style: Olde English uses an even mixture of live and pre-filmed material. A lot of their short films can be seen at their website.
