Robert Huth (born August 18, 1984 in Berlin, Germany) was snapped up by Chelsea from the youth system at German club Union Berlin.

Huth is a strong defender, and an expert in dead-ball situations. At only 21, he is already a member of the German national team.

He made his debut for the Blues as a 17 year old in the last game of the 2001/02 season, coming on as a sub at the half-time in a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa.
