A battle dress uniform (BDU) is the general term referring to military uniforms worn into combat, as opposed to 'display' dress uniforms worn at parades and functions. BDUs may be either plain fatigues or in camouflage colors.

The United States Marine Corps uses MARPAT BDUs.

In the US Army and US Air Force, BDU refers to a specific style of combat uniform. BDUs are in the process of being replaced by the new ACU style combat uniform.
