Jeju Air is an airline based in Jeju City, South Korea. It is a start-up airline operating low-fare flights between the popular island tourist destination of Jeju and the South Korean mainland.

History

The airline was established in January 2005 by the Aekyung Group and the Jeju Provincial Government. It has placed orders for 5 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft (with options on 3 further aircraft), with a total contract value of $196 million if all options are taken up. [1]

Jeju Air started operations on June 2, 2006, using Seoul's Gimpo Airport as a hub. [1] Routes presently served are:
