From outside template namespace: This is a redirect from a page outside the template namespace to a template page. This redirect page must be outside the template namespace.
- Note: If this page is in template namespace, then it will populate Category:Pages with templates in the wrong namespace instead of the correct, expected category.

To a section: This is a redirect from a topic that does not have its own page to a section of a page on the subject. For redirects to embedded anchors on a page, use {{R to anchor}} instead.

From an unprintworthy page title: This is a redirect from a title that would not be helpful in a printed or CD/DVD version of Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Printability and Version 1.0 Editorial Team for more information.
