Hierarchy definition
Purely British TV channels should be included in the category category:British TV channels
Where the UK just broadcasts a foreign network as it is broadcast in that county (eg Fox News or TV5 that article should be included in category:Foreign TV Channels broadcasting in the UK
Channels that have distinct British versions (eg QVC or Cartoon Network) should be included in the category category:TV Channels with British versions. However these should, ideally, have their British specific content split off to form a new article whenever possible.

An infobox for British TV channels has been designed and the template can be inserted by entering {{subst:British TV Channel}} into an edit box, submitting and then re-editing.
If something is not appropriate, just remove that row; if it is appropriate but unknown leave it blank, so it can be added later
