Stagecoach in Chesterfield

Stagecoach in Chesterfield is the sector of the Stagecoach Group that operates buses in Chesterfield. They carry over 8 million passengers per year and are experiencing a passenger increase of approximately 10%. This growth has been achieved through continued investment by Stagecoach and close partnerships with Derbyshire County Council.

They have 119 buses and employ 320 employees.

As well as Chesterfield, they also operate certain buses into Bolsover, Mansfield, Clay Cross, Alfreton, Matlock, Dronfield, Sheffield and Eckington. They also operate express coaches to the cities of Sheffield and Nottingham.

To assist the elderly and disabled, some routes have low-floor buses.

On 3 May, Stagecoach opened a new coach station in Chesterfield (on the site of the old one) for their express routes and also for National Express routes.

Although most routes operate all week, some routes do not operate on Sundays, and some routes only operate on Sundays. On bank holidays, a Sunday service is operated.
