| Description |
Italiano: Rarenodia gr. planulata, ammonite di grande taglia proveniente dalla zona del M. Serano (abitato di Val Lupo, presso Foligno). L’esemplare è un modello pietroso frammentario, però la camera di abitazione è conservata fino al diam. di 33 cm. Considerato che manca ancora circa mezzo giro della conchiglia originaria, l’ammonite aveva un diam. stimato di circa 40-42 cm. Si tratta dell’esemplare più grande fino ad ora trovato sul “Rosso Ammonitico” umbro-marchigiano. Nella figura si vedono frammenti ben conservati dei giri interni posti separati all’interno della cassettina. Si tratta sicuramente delle forme del Rosso Ammonitico (Toarciano) più grandi reperibili in questi strati rocciosi. |
