Middleton bus station is a bus station located in the town of Middleton in Greater Manchester. The bus station is found next to the Middleton Shopping Centre on the site of the old bus station. The new bus station was opened on 31 July 2005 and is run by TfGM.[1]
There are thirteen stands in the bus station, A to N, with some of the stands operating a drive-in/reverse out system with the others operating a drive-through system.[2] There are two entrances into the bus station, one from Park Road/Manchester New Road junction, and the other from Middleton Way from a dedicated bus lane. There is only one exit from the bus station, onto Middleton Way, with priority signals being used to allow buses to rejoin the main carriageway.
Services
[edit]There are a number of services that use Middleton bus station. The majority of services are run by First Greater Manchester and Stagecoach Manchester with the remaining services operated by Manchester Community Transport, M Travel and Stotts. Rosso also provide some school bus services that call at Middleton bus station, while Rosso also provides a seasonal service to Blackpool and Fleetwood.
There are frequent buses running to Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale and Bury and parts of the Middleton area including Alkrington, Boarshaw, Hollin, Langley, Moorclose, Moston and Rhodes. Buses also run from Middleton to Ashton-under-Lyne.

- 17: Norden to Shudehill Interchange via Rochdale. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network.
- 17A: Rochdale Interchange to Shudehill Interchange. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network.
- 18: Langley to Manchester Royal Infirmary. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network. Some services terminate at Shudehill Interchange instead of Manchester Royal Infirmary.
- 41: Middleton to Sale Metrolink. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network. Some services terminate at North Manchester General Hospital instead of Middleton
- 59: Oldham Mumps Interchange to Piccadilly Gardens via Middleton. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network.
- 112: Middleton to Piccadilly Gardens. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network.
- 113: Middleton to Piccadilly Gardens. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network.
- 115: Middleton - Moston - Harpurhey - Higher Blackley Circular. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network.
- 116: Middleton - Higher Blackley - Harpurhey - Moston Circular. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network.
- 125: Middleton to Heywood. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network.
- 129: Middleton - Hollin Circular
- 156: Middleton to Shudehill Interchange. This service is operated by Stagecoach as part of the Bee Network.
- 159: Oldham to Middleton via Chadderton. This service is operated by Diamond Bus under the Bee Network.
- 163: Bury Interchange to Piccadilly Gardens. This service is operated by Go North West as part of the Bee Network.
