'This is a checklist of American reptiles found north from Mexico, based primarily on [[SSAR]] publications.<ref name="SSAR12" /><ref name="SSAR08" /> It includes all species of the United States and Canada, including recently introduced species such as [[Chameleon]]s, the [[Nile monitor]], and the [[Burmese python]].
