Opening paragraph does so much mental gymnastics to avoid stating what the conflict is about. PA recognizes Israel and thus its sovereignty over West Jerusalem. What it does not recognize is its sovereignty over East Jerusalem including its holy sites such as Aqsa mosque and Dome of the Rock, which are part of the West Bank considered occupied by Israel under international law. That's the current conflict on the '''status''' of Jerusalem. [[User:Makeandtoss|Makeandtoss]] ([[User talk:Makeandtoss|talk]]) 13:50, 14 March 2024 (UTC)

Change "State of Israel" to Israel or change Palestine to "State of Palestine" for unbiased views. Icantthinkofaname22 (talk) 03:31, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I meant because it can be a unbiased view to have "State of Israel" and "Palestine". Icantthinkofaname22 (talk) 03:32, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Question: The terms "State of Israel", "Israel", "State of Palestine", "Palestine", all appear in various parts of the article. Is there a specific part of the article that you believe needs to be changed? Liu1126 (talk) 10:13, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, nevermind, I just read it wrong. Icantthinkofaname22 (talk) 10:29, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Change "Only four countries have embassies to Israel in Jerusalem: the US, Guatemala, Honduras and the partially recognized Kosovo" to "Only five countries have embassies to Israel in Jerusalem: the US, Guatemala, Honduras, Papua New Guinea and the partially recognized Kosovo" as Papua new guinea recently moved their embassy to Jerusalem. source: https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/papua-new-guinea-opens-embassy-jerusalem-2023-09-05/ Chilp302 (talk) 11:39, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Hussein bin Ali

The islamic holy sites sections contains the following: "The status of Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem, including Haram Al-Sharif/Temple Mount, is also unresolved. In 1924, the Supreme Muslim Council, the highest Muslim body in charge of Muslim community affairs in Mandatory Palestine, accepted Hussein bin Ali (Sharif of Mecca) as custodian of Al-Aqsa."

The link for Hussein bin Ali redirects to the page for Hussein ibn Ali the Shia imam from the 7th century. This is obviously not the right Hussein. The correct Hussein was the King of Hejaz from this article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hussein_bin_Ali,_King_of_Hejaz). Please fix this.

Laughable that an error like this got through on this overly-moderated nanny state of a website Stuffmaster1000 (talk) 21:47, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine.

Not done: It says right in the first sentence that Palestine claims it as its capital. Tollens (talk) 23:14, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Parts of Jerusalem in Oslo Accords

Hello Wikipedians, I have seen that few neighbourhoods in Jerusalem such as Sur Baher, Umm Tuba and Beit Hanina were included in the Oslo Accords and PA have some sovereignty in these places. Pls see to it and mention it in the article. Thanks Ya Haraami (talk) 14:14, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
