    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). Be clear as to which namespace is intended, when requesting a refund of a deleted article.

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    I spent some time cleaning up this article at NPP on 23 March, just before it was deleted as G11. The article may have merit, but the author is paid and is struggling to write the new draft in a neutral way. As I had already dealt with most of the promo in the version deleted from mainspace, it would be good to have that userfied.     Not done – this page was deleted as a blatant advertisement under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia is not to be used as a vehicle for promotion. This does not necessarily mean a suitable article on this topic cannot be created. If it is a notable topic, e.g., multiple reliable, secondary, published sources that are entirely independent of the subject have written about it in substantive detail (not just mere mentions), then a neutrally written article may be possible.     @Muboshgu: To clarify, I am well versed with WP:NCORP as an experienced AfC reviewer and new page patroller. What I am proposing is not for it to be restored to mainspace but for userfication for the purposes of seeing whether the article can be salvaged. If it is salvageable, a rewritten version would go back through AfC. In the article history, did you see my series of edits? I was part-way through stripping out promo when the article was deleted.     Claudia Pulchra (disambiguation)

    I am concerned that someone has pulled a fast one here, by moving a disambiguation page previously at Claudia Pulchra (RM/TR, no discussion), deleting all the entries except one, and then requesting that the dab be deleted as obsolete. IIRC, there were some effectively-duplicate entries on the dab page, but also entries for other people of that name (eg. the wife of Tiberius Gracchus). At the very least, there was some disagreement about the deletion of the dab entries and this was not resolved by consensus before the page was edited and then speedily-deleted. —Lithopsian (talk) 15:06, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

    @Graeme Bartlett: I don't appreciate that Lithopsian ignored all of my edit summaries, ignored my response to his comment in the talk page, and did not bother objecting to my own reversion of his edit, only to then come here and all but claim that I was devious and underhanded in my methods. You also should have known better than to restore a disambiguation page without bothering to even check that all the existing entries are redlinks, redirects, or at variance with the page title itself.

    To put it quickly, this only became 'controversial' because I attempted to eliminate the disambiguation page before getting rid of the erroneous entries (done as of now): someone came and noticed that there still was >1 page with that name, assumed I was making a mistake, and promptly reverted everything I was doing. You'll notice that, on the talk page, I referenced the Pauly-Wissowa, a colossal monument of classical scholarship (the only reliable source mentioned in the entire discussion), which takes care of your concern that References to support existence of the people on the list would help. What's key here is that, after this, the opposing party did not persist in his opposition (I was the last man standing), and did not dispute my nomination of one of the other pages for deletion; I must therefore assume he dropped the issue, and so there are actually no grounds for believing a controversy exists at all. Lithopsian's ill-conceived and misinformed attempt to play the neutral arbiter evidently only fed into this mistaken idea.

    So please, admin, kindly delete the page again and lets not turn what is really a simple issue into an unnecessary headache. You restored a disambiguation page which only lists a single existing article in it. Look at it: the sea of redlinks speaks for itself. Even if you decide to ignore everything I just said, your restoration goes against the most basic guideline in WP:MOSDAB: disambiguation pages should only exist for ambiguous search terms.     An expired PROD which I missed. It supported a fair number redirects (also now gone) which were referenced from a disambiguation page (Claudia Pulchra (disambiguation)) which then got speedily deleted. All over the holiday weekend when I must have blinked.     2021 International Friendlies

    Firstly, I just wanted to ask... if listing friendlies was such an issue, then why does the article 2021 Three Nations Cup exist? And my reasoning for why it should be brought back is that International Friendlies aren't just guys goofing of playing for fun, this is serious teams playing against each other competitively. It even affects their FIFA World Rankings! I know friendlies can be seen on the countries' results. But what if they aren't looking for a specific team? What if they just want to check out the friendlies. Someone can improve this article but International Friendlies should be an article. When you look up INternational Friendlies you get a lot of TV providers and websites covering the matches. And I know this information and fixtures can be found on a different website, but so is every other article. Do you think no other website covers the 2018 FIFA World Cup?
