Rim Jallouli (Arabic: ريم الجلولي) is a Tunisian university full professor, researcher and consultant known for her extensive work in emerging technologies, business innovation, digital economy, data analytics and marketing strategies. She was the founding dean from 2011 to 2017 of the Higher School of Digital Economy (ESEN), University of Manouba, Tunisia, where she played a pivotal role in establishing the institution and shaping its positioning as the first academic institution in Tunisia, Africa and MENA region specialized in the digital economy.
In 2013, Rim Jallouli founded the Tunisian Association of the Digital Economy (ATEN) with her colleagues professors at ESEN- University of Manouba. ATEN association aims to promote innovative research and related activities that highlight the impact of emerging digital economy technologies on business innovation. Specifically, ATEN focuses on the integration of artificial intelligence, internet of things, cloud computing, big data, and mobile technologies into all aspects of the economy, society, and culture. ATEN strives to advance new knowledge in the social sciences and humanities, particularly regarding the impact of technologies on consumer behavior and the quality of life.
Rim Jallouli has significantly contributed to the development of research in the digital economy and business innovation in Tunisia and internationally. Her work includes several books and articles addressing marketing strategies in the era of artificial intelligence, the internet of things, cloud computing, and blockchain technology.
In addition to her publications, Rim Jallouli has supervised over a hundred academic and doctoral research projects in marketing, management and business computing. She has introduced new methods for processing the vast amounts of data made available by collaborative platforms and social networks. Her primary contribution lies in the application of data mining methods, such as topic modeling and sentiment analysis, to guide business and marketing strategies. Her research spans multiple sectors, including banking, retail, culture, tourism, and the automotive industry.
She has delivered numerous talks and provided training and workshops across four continents: Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America . Her work encompasses a range of topics:
- Seminars for Researchers in Marketing Strategy and Management: Focused on new methods and techniques in the era of new technologies and big data. These sessions provide valuable insights into leveraging big data analytics, advanced marketing strategies, and innovative management practices to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
- Marketing Strategy , Digital Transformation, and Data Analysis for Professionals: Focusing on equipping professionals with the skills needed to navigate and leverage modern marketing strategies, digital tools, and data analytics.
- Pedagogical Innovation and Didactic Seminars: Offering researchers and teachers insights into innovative teaching methods
- Enhancing Researcher Visibility and Societal Impact through the Scientific Web: These seminars are designed to help researchers increase their visibility on scientific and social platforms such as ResearchGate, Google Scholar, Academia, and LinkedIn. The goal is to enhance their professional reputation and the societal impact of their work. Sessions cover best practices for using digital tools and social media, optimizing research profiles, and effectively disseminating research findings to a wider audience. By improving their online presence, researchers can more effectively engage with the public, policymakers, and other stakeholders, ultimately contributing to the advancement of knowledge and societal progress.
Education
[edit]In June 1993, she obtained higher diploma of business studies (specialized in international business) from IHEC Carthage, University of Carthage, Tunisia.
In 2006, she obtained her PhD in marketing & management from the University of Tunis El Manar & University of Corsica Pasquale Paoli, France. Her PhD thesis was entitled "Innovation and Market Orientation: The Case of Art Products"[1] under the supervision of Prof. M. Zghal M. & Prof J. Orsoni.
In December 2012, she obtained the university accreditation (Habilitation) in marketing and management sciences, University of Manouba, Tunisia.
