Taking off notability tag

[edit]

So I see the Highland Current article features Beghe exclusively. If I don't hear from anyone else I think we can go ahead and take this tag off.--74.108.65.139 (talk) 16:45, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's still pretty terrible though. The references to her family members are WP:INHERITED and nothing to do with Ms. Beghe's own notability. And Apple Music and her own website do not pass WP:RS. So apart from a few passing mentions in Billboard this article pretty much reproduces that Highland Current article, which is an interview with the artist and so falls foul of WP:PRIMARY as well. That's a really subjective call. You're a Brit, so may have some bias against American entries in general? I trust you exercise the same kind of zealotry on new articles on British or Colombian subjects.--108.29.111.109 (talk) 14:58, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Of course I do, and on articles of all countries, so I don't think I'm the person displaying petty nationalism and making cheap and false accusations here. And far from "sloppy editing", I was correcting your grammar mistakes, your awkward sentence structure ("perceiving it would lack any hits" isn't great English), your editorializing (there is literally no reason for you to add quotation marks around "hits"), your lack of willingness to follow Wikipedia guidelines such as MOS:LQ, the padding of the article with information about her relatives, and your use of unreliable sources – Ms Beghe's website is not an reliable independent source. But as my help isn't wanted, I'll leave you to it – happy editing. Richard3120 (talk) 21:50, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
