National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), a premier institution of India imparting education in fashion business and related activities, was established in 1986 and functions under the control of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. NIFT has presently a network of seven centers located at New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
