A nickname her mother gave her as a child besides her name at birth; Angela Maria Robinson, born August 11, 1972
AhMei's love for music came from listening & hearing how good all instruments sound together, in sync in one composition.
Wanting to be a professional artist developed from singing in harmony with her mother the late Margaret Robinson.
Her efforts and belief encouraged AhMei. Singing with her, her brothers, sister, and cousins; and actually hearing her voice recorded when
she was about 9yrs old with an old tape recorder her Granna gave her that was laying around collecting dust encouraged her as well.
AhMei would often sing to music played on the radio while doing chores, helping her mother in a single family household; songs like,
Let The Music Play By; Shannon and pretend she was doing a show, jamming and really enjoyed herself doing it. "That song still gets me hyped". Even though her music doesn't reflect her true vocal strength, "She Can Blow The Vocal Chords". She sung in church as a child with her brothers and sister, and her mother playing the piano. She is the reason for AhMei's well roundness in music. AhMei can play Drums and Piano, (to a certain extent) because she plays by ear. Her Mother Margaret Robinson also taught her how to harmonize her vocals by singing with her and carring her voice with emotions. SHE IS AhMei's BIGGEST INFLUENCE!!
Who She Is
[edit]She is self titled as a Stylistic Producer, originally from the USA, Dayton, Ohio and have started her own production label; Stylistic Productions.She photographs, edits, and publish photos; styles hair, writes poetry, and draw.
How She Started
[edit]She began persuing her production career in 2005. Remembering back in 99 or 2000 her brother used to make beats with the Music Maker game for Play Station. He used to let her play and she didn't want to get off of it. Her Brother is using the Music Maker professional program now all on his own, and is still progressing with strength with an intelligent distribution of music. His name is Adrian-(Artist name)AXD Robinson.He is a HipHip Lyricist, they both work on a lot of music together.
Her Works & Activities
[edit]AhMei is continously working hard to stay networking & Twittering her music. She is a one woman band. Her most recent music activity was the Open Happiness remix contest that was brought by; imeem.com that is now merged with Myspace Music. AhMei is a memeber of the Magix Online Community as an artist, Her song; "I Don't Really Give A Uck" won her Artist Of The Month featured on the home page of the Magix Music Maker website
Her Stage Set
[edit]AhMei works alone and arranged, sung, & wrote the lyrics to all of the listed tracks herself besides the noted with Magix Music Maker 11 & 12,(there are more to come). The Magix Company has enabled & allowed her to learn, discover, innovate, & express her passion for Music & Photogtaphy in many ways. She has learned and is still learning so much utlilizing their software products. AhMei is TO BE A MAGIX MUSIC MAKER AND FAN. She's not afraid to be different and try new types of genres in her music production.
