A WikiCourtier (from Hawaiian wikiwiki, meaning "quick", and Courtier) is a user who seeks to influence the governance of the realm by gaining the ear of the Prince.
WikiCourtiers and wouldbe Wikicourtiers can be found at the court of the Prince, some with petitions to right grudges and grievances, others with flattery and others with schemes and plans to return the realm onto the path of righteousness, for they see it as having diverted from the true path. Others having failed to gain offices by regular means seek influence through attending the Prince's court. Whatever the reason for their petition, Wikicourtiers believe that the processes agreed upon by the community for the governance of the realm will not deliver to them the redress or changes that they desire.
The Prince in his wisdom tolerates the petitioners, though giving them little of what they desire he neverless does not discourage them leading them to believe that they have his ear; for the prince has on occasion need of them. For from time to time the Prince let it be known that he is troubled and has need of loyal knights to serve his purpose, at this time the courtiers will act. The more experienced will wield their blades prudently and egg the newlings on; the least experienced believing that they have the blessing of their Prince, wield a hatchet wantonly on his behalf, in the process settling old scores and grievances if they can. However whilst the most prudent know when to abate their fun, the newlings will linger enjoying their moment of glory, oblivious to the fact that they have been abandoned by their more experienced colleagues.
With the homeland on an even keel, it has been with his holdings beyond the sea with one in particular a den of vice and iniquity, that the Prince has needed to act. These lands where exiles and ne'er do wells have homesteaded to escape the constraints, feuds and range wars of the homeland, where natives have evolved their own processes, heirarchies and culture; an independence that at times has threatened the Prince's holdings as a whole. It is to impose order on these unruly holdings that the Prince will deploy his latest crop of bravi, for they should have no illusions, in exchange for having bloodied their hands during their brief moment of power the WikiCourtiers will pay with their banishment from the other realms, the Prince knowing that he has offended his subjects, allows them to have their revenge on his loyal hatchetmen. Such WikiCourtiers seeing themselves ill used will often leave his lands for good, but always there will be others who desire to be the Prince's favourite.
