This is an essay. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints. |
The following is adapted from TonyBallioni’s RfA criteria:
1. Not a jerk
2. Has a clue
3. 1 year / 1000 edits (more concrete version of “have a record”)
RfB
[edit]For WP:RfBs, one additional criterion applies:
4. Has been a competent admin
Conclusion
[edit]RfA is a horrible and broken process because it’s so hard to pass. Jimbo said adminship is “not a big deal”, but RfA has become one. Let’s change that.
